Local Prevention Councils

Established in 1988 as the Governor’s Initiative, the Local Prevention Council (LPC) was created to enhance and facilitate local involvement in the development and implementation of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug (ATOD) prevention activities. Alliance for Prevention and Wellness provides assistance and resources to each Local Prevention Council with grants funded by the CT Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.
